Day 1
Zion National Park offers spectacular hiking along its towering canyon rims and many slot canyons.
Spend the day in the Narrows, hiking through the Virgin river and the magnificent canyon it has carved.
Famous for its narrow chasms and towering walls, this premier canyon is diverse trek that can't be missed.
The narrows is one of the most touted and breathtaking adventures in America. The Zion Narrows deserves
its reputation as one of the best hikes in the National Park System.
Leisurely hikes to Emerald Pools, the Hanging Gardens, or the River Walk can also be enjoyed. Explore
the many vantage points and vistas, desert valleys, waterfalls, high cliffs, sandstone wilderness,
and the Virgin River's lush valley.
Biking is availale on the Pa'rus trail. (Please reserve bikes in advance). Ride along this easy bike
path to a nice swimming hole in the Virgin River where you can take a dip and cool off before riding
your bike back to camp.
The evening at camp is filled with good food and conversation as we enjoy a campfire and watch the stars
appear in the night sky. Drift to sleep with sounds of the river churning quietly nearby.
Day 2
The second day of this adventure allows for more exploring and adventure in Zion National Park.
Those wanting to visit Angel's Landing or Observation Point will want to get an early start. These
strenuous trails skim the West and East rims of the park, and offer spectacular views and photo
opportunities like no other.
Angels Landing is one of the most famous and thrilling hikes in the Southwest.
Angel's Landing runs along a narrow rock ledge with dizzying drop-offs on both sides.
It's a steady 2.5 mile uphill trek as the trail ascends a series of switchbacks known as Walters Wiggles.
The narrow and arduous trail drops 1200' on one side and 800' on the other. The summit offers incomparable,
fairytale views. Almost 1500' below, the Virgin River winds its way through the desert floor.
Those seeking a break from hiking can choose to see Zion by horseback. Imagine hearing the rhythmic
clip-clop of your horse’s hooves and breathing in the smell of leather, sagebrush and ponderosa pine
as you explore the beauty of the Zion National Park area from atop your horse.
Canyoneering is available for those seeking a more technical adventure. This fast growing sport
is not for the timid or faint of heart. Canyoneering combines all levels of exploration: hiking,
splashing through streams, scrambling over boulders, problem solving with peers, and rappelling
through waterfalls into cold pools. Guided trips are recommended and MUST be reserved in advance.
After a good day of adventures, we will say goodbye to the beautiful canyons of Zion National Park,
and return to Las Vegas.
